HISTORY;
Yukio was born in Xing to a family of medical alchemists, many of whom served the emperors of Xing from generation to generation. He has the 3rd child in a family of three children and was given the nickname "tritium" by his alchemist teacher meaning "the third". Ahead of him in the family tree are two older sisters whom he looks up to and who excel in medical alchemy, so much so that they work for the emperor and his army. However this causes him to develope an inferiority complex because his parents are always comparing him to his sisters. Which more or less gets on his nerves.
Yukio left home at age 11 in order to pursue other forms of alchemy that would allow him to prove his worth as an alchemist. He had travelled west across the desert before arriving at a small village where he met a young woman by the name of Julia. Julia was an alchemist who was loved by the town, she made medicine for the weak and sick, cooked for the children and always goes out of her way to help others. The alchemy which Julia uses to make medicine is called Spagyric, or plant alchemy. Which uses sap from flowers and herbs to make its medicine and to detect the flow of water in the plant allowing the alchemist to manipulate it and enhance its growth. Yukio became her apprentice for a while, and even managed to advance her alchemy from being a purely medical alchemy to one of combat as well by manipulating the plants themselves. Of course, while he was in her care, he never used it for combat but to entertain the children.
Currently, he has left Julia's care to pursue amestrian medical alchemy. He hopes that by learning all these different forms of alchemy, he would be able to find a universal cure for all diseases including aging. The philosopher's stone was one of the things he has heard Amestrian alchemy created that although is twisted in methods of creation, can lead to many benefits. He hopes he can find an alternative fuel source to make his own elixr of health. [/b]

Yukio loosened his grip on his cloak as the desert sunlight beats down upon him. Causing him to sweat like a fountain, and yet his mouth was as dry as the desert floor. "Water.. food... sleep..." His body craved for these, but Yukio could not allow himself to rest. For falling asleep in the middle of the desert could mean certain doom for a traveller. The young boy searched for his cantine and took a few gulps of water. And then, it was empty. "aw man.." He had been careless and allowed himself to finish drinking all the water without even knowing if a town was nearby. Slowly time passed, the young alchemist didn't even know where he was going. He just kept moving forward, eyes dazed and tired, he felt himself drifting into dream land. But he kept himself awake and kept moving forward. After what seemed like forever, he saw it. Rush valley, a small city filled with people, and more importantly food! Without a care in the world, Yukio ran towards the town and searched for a food stall.
"One bowl of noodles please!" Yukio said to the stall's owner, a large fat man holding a spoon in his right hand and a bowl of noodles in his left. That came down slowly onto the table, Yukio didn't let the bowl rest on the table for even half a second. He picked it up and began to eat. Oblivious to the noise he was making, and even if he did, he wouldn't care if it annoyed the other customers.
In less than 30 seconds, the bowl of noodle was sucked dry of all its essence and Yukio fell back on his chair, feeling less hungry already. The young boy then leaped off his chair and began to leave. "Wait a minute! You haven't paid for your meal!" The stall owner exclaimed in a voice that sounded as rough as a bears and as loud as thunder. "Sorry, sir I will pay." Yukio searched his pockets and fear fell upon him. He had lost his wallet! After much negociation, he was forced to work off his debt to the owner. "Sigh.. new town, new face, and new job..." [/b]
